Canaan Land Community Center's mission is to touch the lives of Marion County senios and disabled citizens, by maintaining their independence and theirlevel of functioning, so they can remail as healthy as possible in the most cost- effective way.
Our vision is for Canaan Land Adult Day Health Care Center to be the dominant leader in providing the best adult day health care services in the county of Marion, South Carolina and surrounding areas. Our staff here has a compassion for seniors and disabled client and are trained to give the best of care. We have an intense unfailing love in taking care of seniors because of their wisdom, their life experiences and how they habe given so much to us. It is now our time to give and take of them. Our staff consist of a RN, Nurse aides, Program director, Recreational Coordinator, Activity director, office manager, and volunteers.
SERVICES
Canaan Land Adult Day Care Health Care Center
At Canaan Land Adult Day Care Center, you and your loves one will have supervision from staff certified in CPR and First Aid, able to manage indivdual with a wide range of conditions. We have a Registered Nurse, who is able to assist with medication administration as prescribed by a physician or nurse practitioner. We provide nursing care which include wound dressing change and overall health monitoring. We provide a lifestyle that promote good health, healthy nutritional meals, wholesomesnacks, stress management, decrease or eliminate health issues associated with hypertension and diabetes. Though Canaan Land Adult Day Care Center programs, activites, and services; we stimulate, educate, and create an environment where our participants socialize and exercise to improve or maintain their level of functioning. We provide will balance meals which includes a hot breakfast, a light snack and hot lunch. We are certified in ServSafe management, and our meals are prepared in house daily according to DHEC guidelines to ensure the health of our clients.
As Pastor Dessie Mckelvy, CEO states, "I love people. I love helping and making a difference in people lives. Being a Registered nurse for 43 years. I have seemed how the elderly have been overlooked, degraded, rushed and pushed around, lonely and unhappy. God has been good to me, and I am here for such a time as this. My desire is to give back and to show the love of Jesus to all. If I can help someone as I go along, then my living will not be in vain."

Canaan Land Community Center After School program of aademic excellence and spiritual enrichment. Our after school program is built upon the foundation values as well as South Carolina state standards and academic curriclum where we encourage each child to be Prepared, Inspired, Engaged and Empowered not just academically but also in their community. Children participating in this program learn to build confidence and academic strength within themselves while using socialization strategies that will last a lifetime.
We encourage our community to sign their child up to benefit from the opportunity of their child achieving their academic goals.
